Innovation
In 2013 in Wānaka we hosted a public forum about innovation. The idea of the forum was to gather like minds and different thinking with a view to raising a task force to work on the subject.
Over 70 people discussed “What is Innovation?” “What are the opportunities?” They proposed an innovation vision and potential steps to achieving the vision. The forum established some community priorities: connectivity, education and a diverse economy.
Despite initial interest, we were unable to form a task force to further this topic. But we remain open to revisiting it in the future!
