I’m Vanessa van Uden.

I served as a councillor before becoming Mayor of Queenstown Lakes District in 2010. During my first term as Mayor, I led the steering committee that developed Shaping Our Future.

Since stepping down in 2016, I have provided administrative and strategic services to companies in the Queenstown area. I hold governance roles with a range of community organisations, including emergency response, community wellbeing, youth development, education and transport – and as chair of Shaping Our Future.  

I have a Master of Business Administration and was awarded an ONZM in 2017 for Services to Local Government.
