Tired of traffic?

Shaping Our Future explored ways we can get out of gridlock and into better ways of transport by presenting a panel of expert speakers followed by a roundtable discussion and a chance to try out the latest e-bikes, including one specifically designed for commuting, thanks to ChargeAbout Queenstown.

The presentation began with an overview of what Mode Shift is and why it matters by Jeremy O'Brien of Waka Kotahi. You can see his slides at the link below:

Our key speaker was Louise Baker, WSP Technical Principal in Travel Behaviour Change, who has studied travel behaviour change options for Queenstown. You can see her presentation slides here:

The roundtable discussions that followed gave attendees a chance to identify the obstacles and opportunities a shift in transportation provides.

The discussions in Wānaka and Queenstown resulted in a wide range of responses.
