I’m Michael Rewi.

I hail from Murihiku (Southland) and am an active Ngāi Tahu iwi member. I am passionate about advocating for better outcomes for Māori, Pasifika and low-income communities, ensuring whānau voice is at the forefront of central and local government policies.  

I founded and am CEO of Mana Tāhuna Charitable Trust, providing environmental, health and social outcomes for vulnerable communities. I work alongside Government agencies advocating for low-income communities. 

I am a trustee with Rewiring Aotearoa and advisor with Waka Kotahi, ensuring community voice is woven through government strategy.
