Queenstown Masterplan - Volunteers Needed

10 July 2017

Queenstown Masterplan - Public Life Survey - YOUR COMMUNITY NEEDS YOU!
Queenstown Lakes District Council invite volunteers to donate their time (approx. 4hrs) and enthusiasm to participate in the 2017 Queenstown Public Life Survey.
Volunteers will be required on Wednesday 12 July and Saturday 15 July 2017 to record information about how people use public space in the Queenstown Town Centre. A Volunteer Briefing will be held at Queenstown Memorial Centre on Monday 10 July 2017 (5-7pm).
As a volunteer you will observe, count, map and record the behaviour, movement and activities of everyday people in public spaces.
In appreciation of your help you will:

  • Meet new, like-minded people
  • Learn techniques to better understand public spaces

  • Develop new skills and gain new experiences

  • Be supplied with drink/food vouchers

  • Receive a signed certificate of appreciation

  • Help make Queenstown a better place for people!

This survey is part of the Queenstown Town Centre Masterplan project:

Shaping Our Future

Get Involved

Find Out How

The Queenstown Lakes District is a unique area facing unique challenges.  Many agencies and individuals are focused on the problems of today. Without knowing where we want to go, how can we move in the right direction?

Shaping our Future was formed to put communities at the forefront of shaping tomorrows future today.  We invite you to support us in creating a better future for our children, grandchildren and beyond.  We look to the long term - where do we want to be in 30, 40, 50 years?  Our process is designed to put in place actions to achieving our vision.

If we don't, who will?
